I am Kian, a storyteller and seeker of stories who believes that every destination has a story to tell.

Through Langkawi Santai, I share my personal journey of discovering Langkawi—one story at a time. This is not a travel guide filled with lists of attractions. Instead, it is a collection of stories about the people, places, flavours, traditions, and everyday moments that make Langkawi truly special.

I enjoy exploring cultural landmarks, art galleries, museums, local eateries, hidden beaches, and quiet corners that many travellers overlook. Each journey reveals something new and reminds me that the true spirit of a destination is found in its stories and the people who live them.

As I explore this beautiful island, I am also reinventing myself by pursuing new dreams: building a welcoming guesthouse, baking bread in a wood-fired oven, promoting art tourism, and creating meaningful experiences for travellers.

When I am not exploring Langkawi, you will likely find me daydreaming by the sea, journaling, baking sourdough, or rereading Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. I also enjoy reading books by Dr. Spencer Johnson, Paulo Coelho, Paul Kalanithi, making endless to-do lists, and chasing the sun, sea, and sand across Langkawi.
